General Information

Venetian plaster is a material made from fired limestone and water which is applied to the wall by hand in very thin layers.  It is then brushed to make its unique texture with a sense of depth.  It usually includes marmorino, scagliola and sgraffito.  The most popular colors of Venetian Plaster are white, beige, gray, brown and black.  There are no aggregates included which makes the texture thin and subtle.  It is easy to clean and scuffs can be removed with a wet rag.

Environmental Impact

Venetian plaster is extremely eco-friendly, through it being nontoxic and it emits zero compounds.  It is naturally high in PH which makes it act like an antibacterial surface.  It also acts as an insulator which makes it more energy efficient than other materials.  The only negative aspect is that it is relatively expensive, making it unattainable for most people.  It is also not friendly to at home projects, meaning the cost will also be raised through needing service for the application.

It can be used virtually anywhere and is a great choice for any type of environment.
